We all have plans. We plan our day, our week, our schedule, and sometimes the year exactly how we want it to go down to the finest detail. Our plans are foolproof and based 100% on the belief that everything will go according to our plan. We look around and everything is falling into place and no stone is left unturned as we plan out our lives. When we wake up it is time to put that plan we worked so hard detailing in action because it is perfect. Yet, no matter how perfect you visualize your life going unforeseen circumstances disrupt the plan.
Don’t let unforeseen circumstances steal your joy.
There are always going to be negative circumstances that will challenge your faith and make you loosen your grip of holding on to happiness. It’s easy to feel that nothing is working out in your favor when you feel you can’t catch a break. If it’s not one thing it’s another and it always seems to happen when we find ourselves joyful and optimistic about our plans.
When you control your joy, you decide how you let negative situations affect your mood. You look at your life and feel that everything around you is falling apart and as a result you start to fall apart. The moment you relinquish your joy over to what is trying to steal it, you lose power in the fight to keep it. Have you ever noticed that the moment where everything in your life is going right and you’re happy that something bad happens and your happy tears are now sad tears?
The enemy steal is going to put in overtime to make sure you question your happiness. Whether you have to relax and count to 10 or fake a smile, you let the enemy know your joy won't be stolen today.
And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
- John 16:22
